Does it look bad if we change jobs every 2 years?

Hello you, the Adventurous!

A friend just asked if I think changing jobs every 2 years is a bad thing...

Some background on who we are (our generation):

We don't live in yesteryear's way of doing things. The way our fathers/mothers generation did things was different. We are a generation where our lives change every day, minute, second sometimes too! Life is so fast paced right now, we don't want to be left behind. Facebook, Twitter, Blogging, Working, Whatsapp, BBM, email (is it the new snail mail? remember that?? SNAIL MAIL!), etc... NOW ON MOBILE TOO! Our generation has the attention span of a guppy, keep us interested, we keep your business running well, bore us and guess what... WE WILL QUIT EVENTUALLY!

So does it look bad if we change jobs every 2 years?

Simply, YES to the old thinkers... They want us to show some restraint and dependability. If we last in a job for a long time, this will reflect on our willingness to put in the time and show we are dependable and will last in the job we are applying to. HOWEVER, with the situation we are in right now in our village, the global one, is it really wise or fair to judge us that way? Generation Limbo is here... It's not our fault, but it is partly our choice if we want to stay at a job. On the other hand, our tolerance for many things is at a very low... WE WILL QUIT! The baby boomers are out, you need us, we know it!

Treat us well prospective employers and we will treat you well back. Abuse us, and well we will say goodbye. Life is too short ;)

What do you think? Am I too harsh?

I am going to be an employers someday, and being an employee once I know that making a job dynamic is in everyone's benefit. Or is it?

Let me know...

Thank you, the Adventurous, for reading!
